Brisbane authors held a peaceful rally outside Dymocks Bookstores in Brisbane city. This was in reaction to Dymocks’ head honcho, Don Grover circulating a petition to their Booklovers email list.

The petition to abolish the Restrictions against Parallel Importation of Books did not mention how this move would threaten the Australian publishing industry like nothing else has ever done before – causing job losses, cutting back on the choice and quality of Australian books as well as new authors of the future.
